Earlier this month we welcomed 20 young creative minds through the doors of our London HQ to take part in our New Blood Shift brand immersion & briefing day.
New Blood Shift is an initiative we’re embarking on with D&AD to encourage young creatives from non-traditional advertising backgrounds to break into the industry. It is an intensive 3-month night school programme that places an emphasis on raw, untrained talent, compelling its students to make the best creative work of their life. This is accomplished through workshops, talks by those at the top of their game and briefs that show young minds how to apply their abilities and craft, and find paid opportunities and a route into a new career.
What’s more, we are delighted to have our client partner Formula E on board this journey with us, providing the students with the opportunity to tackle a real-life client brief.
99.1% of jobs in our industry are currently being filled by the more advantaged groups and D&AD are on a mission to change the balance of this advantaged industry.
We couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this mission and look forward to reviewing, supporting & challenging our students over the next few months to deliver stand out creative campaigns across multimedia platforms. The program ends with a creative showcase and pitch evening in January, we can’t wait to see what our students have in store for us.
