Iris London has been chosen by Pizza Hut Delivery to act as its lead strategic and creative agency, following a four-way competitive pitch. Tasked to redefine and launch a new brand positioning the win will see Iris deliver across multiple specialisms including ATL, customer experience and digital. Ogilvy & Mather was the incumbent in the UK, with Droga5 leading the US creative.
Iris London worked with Domino’s Pizza UK since 2012, as lead creative agency from 2013, and has been credited for generating £3.6m in additional revenue and 38% higher average spend per order through innovations such as Pizza Legends and Pizza Button. When the business was called to pitch in 2017 Iris declined and shortly after began working with KFC, part of Yum! Brands group which includes Pizza Hut among its brands, as lead digital and CRM agency.
Iris London Managing Director Chris Marlow says “We have had a lot of fun working in this category, achieving 12 quarters of double digit growth for Domino’s along the way. This brief from Pizza Hut could not have been more motivating and calls on the forward-thinking disruptive approach that is second nature for Iris. We can’t wait to get to work”.
Pizza Hut UK Marketing and Sales Director Beverley D’Cruz says “Iris understands this category through and through. Their innovation smarts and digital first thinking stood out during the pitch process, and they left us in no doubt that they will be a passionate partner agency to make Pizza Hut the number one in the UK.”.
