In 2015 the launch of Apple Pay triggered a clutter of standard comms from financial brands introducing their own mobile payments solutions.

But with all the focus on Apple Pay, what about Android users – 51.9% of the UK market? So in steps Barclaycard with its Android Contactless Mobile solution.

To launch Barclaycard’s Contactless app, we chose eight time world artistic cycling champion, David Schnabel to show our customers just how easy it is to use. So easy that he can do it whilst performing a wheelie.

The campaign was supported by customer emails and digital banners on Barclaycard owned channels.
