Formula E is the future of motorsport but not everyone knows that yet. In its first 3 seasons, the series had built a strong audience base but wanted to reach more people in more markets around the world.
We developed an always-on social media strategy that went beyond the traditional, older motorsport fan. We tapped into the interest groups of different audiences, positioning Formula E as the progressive, exhilarating racing franchise that does things differently to any other motorsport.
Our content plan included a blend of repeatable formats and hero content targeting and retargeting different audience groups. We switched from just focusing on race days to building excitement in the run up to and after the race, optimising the content on an on-going basis as we went.
